The Bruins were real busy today releasing update after update on our extensive list of injuries. Here's the run down for it all!
1. Kevan Miller: Kevan Miller has been recalled from the AHL Bruins on an emergency basis and joined the team in Wilmington this morning for practice. With the threat of waivers looming overhead, one can assume that the Bruins are planning on keeping Miller around for a while, especially since coach said "the next time we bring Kevan up it will be for good". But I'll keep you guys updated on what the Bruins plan to do as more information becomes available.
But for a little memory jogger, Miller has played 9 games with the Bruins. He came out of that 9 game stint with 1 goal (which happened to be the GWG in the Dec. 8th game. vs. Toronto), 1 assist and a +2 rating.
In that time he proved himself to be a perfect fit on the blue line for us and, inadvertently, a great filler for the hole left by Seidenberg despite the slight difference in playing style. Miller is built more like McQuaid with Miller being a size/strength kind of guy with a killer right shot. But he also has great hockey sense and isn't afraid to get a little physical when needed. It'll be interesting to see how the D pairs reflect this roster change.

2. Dennis Seidenberg: Seidenberg will have his knee surgery in 1-2 weeks depending on the swelling in his knee. After surgery there will be everyday rehab for him, in which he says "there will be ups and downs but [he's] prepared for that. [He has to] just stay positive."
3. Loui Eriksson: Loui joined morning skate today for the first time since December 7th when he suffered a concussion during that one horrendous Penguins game. He is day-to-day.
4. Carl Soderberg: Soderberg did not travel with the team to Ottawa and is being evaluated for symptoms after a hit he took on Friday against the Senators. He skated this morning before practice but did not stay out with the team.
5. Dougie Hamilton: Dougie joined the team for morning skate for the first time since suffering his lower body injury during the Dec. 8th game against the Maple Leafs. According to coach he's progressing as scheduled but it's still going to be limited drills for him.
6. Zdeno Chara: Chara practiced today with the team after missing Saturday's game and coach says he's progressing and they will make a decision tomorrow depending on how he is.
I'll update you guys as I find out more,
Keep calm and Bergeron!
