For the first time since the playoffs last year, the Bruins (2-3-0) will play the Montreal Canadiens (3-1-0) at TD Garden in hopes of continuing to break our unlucky streak and better our record to 3-3-0.
Now, we all remember the unfortunate circumstances behind our removal from the Stanley Cup playoffs at the hands of Carey Price and his team of stick toting gremlins. We all also remember our favorite goon's infamous hand shake line quote toward one Alexei Emelin. But we need to make one thing clear here: this was last season that holds little bearing on what we are doing this season. Sure, there's going to be a lot of feelings out there on the ice tonight and we may or may not see some people through some fisticuffs. But I'm tired of hearing about this "revenge" nonsense. If we win tonight, it's not going to suddenly change the fact that we forgot how to play hockey at a crucial point in the post-season and allowed the Canadiens to take advantage of us almost as bad as the Lightning did with the Canadiens in their last game. So, let's hush with the revenge talk or there may be some Tuukka like milk crate shenanigans occurring.
Anyways, the Bruins are going into tonight's game with absolutely no one injured, except maybe our assistant coach who took a puck to the head last game. But the hockey gods must be real because this is some sort of crazy miracle.
The Canadiens are also all healthy, although Emelin is coming back from a lower body injury suffered from October 13th that took him out of the debacle of a game against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Knowing that both teams are healthy is going to make this game all the more interesting.
