So I'm going to apologize for the short preview. The first week of second semester has been absolutely crazy. I promise things will be back to normal in a few days!
In the third of four meetings this season the Bruins (29-14-2) are rekindling the rivalry with the Maple Leafs (22-20-5) tonight at the Garden. The Bruins, after losing two of three games on the west coast, come into this game hoping to extend our win streak to two and shake off any negativity stemming from those two games.
Tonight the Bruins plan to honor a close friend of the organization and an inspirational figure for anyone who knew him or heard him speak Sam Berns. Berns died Friday from complications of his rare aging disorder Progeria. Berns was present on November 9th for the ceremonial puck drop and he served as Assistant Equipment Manager that game.
As of this morning, Dougie Hamilton is out for an indeterminate amount of time due to a mild concussion more than likely suffered during the game against the Sharks. As such, we can expect to see Miller filling in for him tonight. Bergeron and Spooner were not at morning practice today but according to coach were only taking maintenance days, which means we will see them tonight.
