Well looks like I need to eat some humble pie because the Bruins by no means had an easy time with the Canadiens and the Canadiens by no means looked like the suckish team we've all come to know and hate. The Bruins lost 4-1 last night in a pretty poor excuse for a hockey game and broke their 4 game winning streak.
Montreal started the first period off strong with an early goal from Alexei Emelin, which was his first of the season. They continued the streak with a goal from Max Pacioretty, who seems to once again be a Bruins killer. The Bruins managed to split the lead in half with a goal from Dougie Hamilton, his fifth of the season, but that was the end of Bruins offense for the game.
The second period saw a power play goal from Brian Gionta, the fourth power play goal the Bruins have allowed in 5 games. Daniel Briere sealed the deal with his 8th goal of the season 14 minutes into the second period. The Bruins were unable to retaliate and ended up losing the game.
The Bruins will be at it again tomorrow against the Oilers with a better outcome hopefully.
