After proving himself to be quite the asset to the Bruins in a time where the team needed as much help as they could get from their depth players, Kevan Miller has finally be rewarded.
Miller was signed today to a two year, one way contract with the Bruins worth $800,000 a season.
Miller has played in 16 games with the Bruins and has notched one goal and one assist in that time period. He skated 19 games with the Providence Bruins where he has notched two goals and three assists.
Miller is a brilliant choice for the Bruins. He is extremely versatile and plays well whether he's on the third pairing or if he's a seventh defenseman. He plays a solid defensive game and makes those big hits that we like to see out of our defensemen. He is going to come in handy with Seidenberg gone and may be useful in any trades that the Bruins may or may not be considering.
So congratulations to Kevan Miller for finally making it into the NHL for 'good' and here's to a great two seasons for him!
Until next time,
Keep calm and Bergeron!
