In the final game of our back to back tilt, the Bruins (1-0-0) face off against the Detroit Red Wings (0-0-0) in hopes of extending our streak to 2 games and ruining the dreams of the Red Wings of an opening night win.
The Bruins, for whatever godforsaken reason, have decided to recall Jordan Caron from the Providence Bruins so he may or may not be in the lineup tonight. The Bruins are constantly making me question the sanity behind their management. But outside of that, the Bruins will still be without Krejci and Campbell and still have a healthy defense (I'm going to start a running count of how long we can go).
The Red Wings are coming into this game without Pavel Datsyuk, who suffered a shoulder injury back in September and has not been cleared for contact, and Jonas Gustavsson who suffered a knee injury and may not be ready for tonight's game. The effect this is going to have on the Red Wings offense could be huge for them, and could be a huge advantage for the Bruins.

Team Stats
Team: This if the first time the Red Wings will face the Bruins since the Bruins booted them out of the first round of the playoffs last year in five games. Since then, the Red Wings have made a few shifts in the lineup, including bringing in Andrej Nestrasil, a 23 year old Czech who will make his NHL debut tonight. The Red Wings left the pre season with a record of 4-3-1 with a -3 goal differential. The Red Wings have an overall record against the Bruins of 259-267-95.
Players: I'm interested to see how Nestrasil does tonight. He's been on any number of AHL teams and has notched, at most, 24 goals in a season and 51 assists so it should be interesting to see how he does with the dynamic the Red Wings have.
Goalie: Howard is likely to start tonight, especially with the issues Gustavsson has been having.

Team: The Bruins are coming into this game with some momentum after last night's win over the Flyers. We are currently 1-0 with a +1 goal differential.
Players: Our players seem to have found their rhythm last night so we can only hope they bring it in tonight and feed off the energy we found in the first period yesterday.
Goalie: Tuukka Rask, 'nuff said.
