Sochi is only 31 days away. The last few Olympic hockey team rosters are slowly but surely being released and with them the NHL fan frenzy over which one of their players will end up on which Olympic team.
And Bruins fans have officially jumped into the frenzy when the Czech Men's Olympic Hockey Team announced it's roster this morning, which includes our very own David Krejci.
And Bruins fans have officially jumped into the frenzy when the Czech Men's Olympic Hockey Team announced it's roster this morning, which includes our very own David Krejci.
Krejci is the first member of the Bruins organization to be named to a 2014 Olympic team. He will be joining former teammate (and not so secret man crush) Jaromir Jagr and fellow NHLer Tomas Kaberle in Sochi.
But really, it's no surprise Krejci got the spot on the roster. He has been an offensive madman this season. He currently leads the Bruins with 36 points off 9 goals and 27 assists. He centers the most productive line on the team and has established himself as a fantastic two way player. The Czech team is lucky to have him.
And the Czech team knows they are seeing as this isn't Krejci's first Olympic go around. He was named to the 2010 Olympic team and played in 5 games, notching 2 goals and 1 assist. The team came in 7th overall that year.
So congratulations to our favorite Czechoslovakian center and good luck!
